Times might be hard for Saracens fans at the moment, what with their relegation from Premiership Rugby being confirmed in January, and now there is no rugby being played at all with the current coronavirus situation. However, out of the blue, some news has come out that will put a smile on the faces of Sarries’ fans. England number eight Billy Vunipola has said today that he will not be leaving the club, despite what is coming.
Saracens have begun to dismantle their squad, with the departures so far being Wales’ Liam Williams, who has returned to former club Scarlets, whilst England hooker Jack Singleton will join Gloucester next season, and England flanker Ben Earl and fly-half Max Malins will be with Bristol Bears. Those last three are on season-long loans, with the aim being to get them Premiership-level rugby for next season. Saracens are widely expected to return the following season.
